Delivery time scales

Love every crumb aims to dispatch all cake orders within 5 working days of the order date (with the exception of  traditonal iced Christmas cakes). If you need a cake sooner, please contact us on 0779 568 5908 and we will try to accommodate your requirements.

All traditional iced Christmas cakes are made to order and need time to mature before they can be enjoyed. Therefore, when ordering a traditional iced Christmas cake, please specify on the order form when you require the cake by (allow at least 3 weeks from order date to delivery).

Where cakes are dispatched via postal carriers,  all cakes are sent via MyHermes courier services. The delivery aim for these items is 2 to 4 working days. The MyHermes courier will attempt to deliver the parcel three times and will leave a card if you (or the intended cake recipient) is not in when the delivery attempt is made.

Please note that the timescale stated above is an aim and is not guaranteed. If you need a cake to be delivered on a specific day, this option is available at an extra cost. Please contact us on 0779 568 5908 to arrange for this method of delivery.

Delivery costs

The delivery cost depends on the cake ordered as it is determined by the weight of the cake. All delivery costs can be viewed on the ‘Checkout’ page, before you have to make any payment.

Where cakes are delivered locally by Love every crumb HQ (within a 10 mile radius of Hitchin – see below for map), the delivery date and time will be arranged after the order has been placed. Love every crumb will contact you to arrange the delivery date and time. Please ensure you correctly enter your contact details on the order form so that we can contact you.

If you have selected the free option of collecting the cake from Love every crumb HQ, we will contact you after the order has been placed to agree a date and time for collection. Please ensure you correctly enter your contact details on the order form so that we can contact you. We reserve the right to charge £5 for delivery if the delivery address is outside of the 5 mile free delivery area.

Delivery areas

The map below shows the areas covered by Love every crumb Herts. The area within the blue circle is included within the free delivery area. All locations within the yellow circle are subject to a £5 delivery charge.



Payment can be made using credit or debit card via PayPal. Click on ‘Proceed to PayPal’ on the checkout page when you are ready to pay for your order and you will be automatically redirected to the PayPal website. There, you can enter the relevant payment card details.

Problems with progressing through checkout process

If you are having problems with progressing to the ‘Checkout Confirmation’ page, try deleting your internet cookie history as this may be causing the problem. If this doesn’t allow you to complete the order and you are using a work computer, it may be because some employers do not allow their employees to access PayPal. If this is the case, please try again using a different computer (if available). If you are still encountering problems, please email caroline@loveeverycrumb.co.uk


Items sold over the internet, telephone and email are regulated by the ‘Distance Selling Regulations 2000.’ The sale of customised or perishable goods is excluded from these regulations. Therefore, these regulations do not apply to any item sold by Love every crumb.


We strive to make all of our customers happy with Love every crumb cakes. However, in the unlikely event that a cake does not meet your satisfaction, we will do everything we can to rectify this. The following actions must be taken to allow us to process returns and refunds:

1. Notify Love every crumb HQ, in writing, within 48 hours of receiving the cake of the reason for returning the cake.

2. Return the cake (s) to Love every crumb HQ within 7 days of the delivery date. Cakes must be returned in the original packaging to protect them from damage within the post. We recommend that you return cakes by recorded post to ensure you have evidence of posting and can track the parcel.

3. Provide a valid reason for the return.

We pack all cakes by hand at Love every crumb HQ and take every step possible to ensure that all cakes are adequately protected and secured. However, we cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by postal or courier services. If your parcel is damaged on arrival, this should be reported to the delivery person and the issue taken up with the postal service.
